I hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy from University College Dublin which I completed under the supervision of Prof. Brian O’Connor. My doctoral thesis Negative Dialectics and Event proposed a parallactic, comparative/contrastive reading of Theodor W. Adorno’s and Alain Badiou’s philosophies. More precisely, the thesis concentrated on the manner in which, Adorno’s and Badiou’s thought is occasioned and driven by what eludes epistemological and ontological identity, namely, what assumes the form of “non-identity” and “event” in their respective philosophies.
