In January 2021, She completed her habilitation (qualification for professorship) at the University of Kassel and received the Venia Legendi for the field of aesthetics and general art history (Ästhetik und allgemeine Kunstwissenschaft). In April 2021 she was awarded the title PD (Privatdozent) by the University of Kassel.
Her interests cover intercultural philosophy, phenomenology, aesthetics, theory of art, image theory, media culture and design theory. Her book „Atmosphären-Ästhetik: Die Verflochtenheit von Natur, Kunst und Kultur“ will be published in 2023 by Karl Alber Verlag (Freiburg). In addition, she edited special issues and published many papers in renowned international journals such as “Polylog. Journal for Intercultural Philosophizing” (Vienna) as well as in leading publishers such as Routledge (London), Walter de Gruyter (Berlin) and Transcript (Bielefeld).
