Jules Coleman

I have been named the Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies of Constructor University. I am also working on completing two books that may be of interest. The first, tentatively entitled: Second Thoughts and Other Misgivings. includes five essays in which I revisit critically the four main areas of research in my career; Jurisprudence, Corrective Justice, Foundations of Economics of Law, Rational Choice and Political Philosophy and a fifth on Philosophical Methodology. The second book, tentatively entitled: Outtakes and B-sides is made up of over a dozen essays of various length on topics I have thought about a lot over the years but have not published peer review articles or books on. These include a series of essays on the political economy of education, the nature of representation in the arts, the meaning of academic freedom, artistic fidelity, academic arrogance, what it means to be a sports fan, and why music matters.
